Make Music Day – 21.06.20

June 21st 2020 is Make Music Day, the annual international event celebrating music, it was originally launched in France as the Fête de la Musique in 1982. We’ve got a host of activities connecting and creating with music makers around the world!

Lockdown Sound Challenge / Plugged IN live stream / live jam with Endlesss

Submit your music samples to the Lockdown Sound Challenge now.  We’re inviting people from all over the UK to send in a recording (30 seconds max) of anything they’d like to be sampled and made into track that will be featured on the Make Music Day live stream.  You can submit your sample HERE before 15th June. More info here.

On the day itself:

3pm: Endlesss Jam
Download the iOS music app Endlesss and get involved in a live Plugged jam! For those who are up for it, we’ll also be hosting a Zoom get together alongside the live jam. To join the Endlesss Plugged jam, click HERE.

8pm: Plugged In stream
Tune in the Make Music Day stream featuring performances from a range of artists: Lossy, Nicolas Bras, Addictive TV, Mieko Shimizy, Obsenity State, Kuntari, Mimbot and Computer Disco. The stream will be available on Facebook & Youtube.

8.30pm: Lockdown Sound Challenge stream
On the day itself, composers and music producers will have one hour to create a piece of music from a selection of the samples they’ll have downloaded. These will then be broadcast on the official Make Music Day stream.
